We provide a positive reading experience for children using specially trained dogs.
We are a network of caring volunteers who share our certified therapy dogs to facilitate children’s reading.
Paws for Tales is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in good standing in the great State of Colorado. Your donation may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Many thanks to our founder, Kathy Tripcony, for her generous memorial donation to Paws for Tales.
Kathy contributed to Paws for Tales both during her life and after. She was taken from us in 2023 – but what an amazing legacy she leaves! Kathy impacted the lives of Poudre School Children by helping them learn to read and making it fun! Beginning in 2003, Kathy set up reading assistance periods at Putnam Elementary School. The students enjoyed reading to therapy dogs so much that Paws for Tales visits quickly spread throughout the Poudre District to Dunn, Irish, Riffenburg, Bacon, Beattie, Linton, and Bauder Elementary Schools! Kathy made the world BETTER.
Thank you to Kathy – and Louie! You are missed!

Please come and meet some of our local therapy dog teams! Paws for Tales teams provide valuable volunteer reading assistance to our local PSD Elementary School 2nd graders and other Fort Collins organizations.
